Baby's Room!
Baby's room has been completely remodeled to what mommy can look at without whirling and throwing up. I find it rather coincidental that my morning sickness subsided when I got rid of the bright, bold colors and went to nice, comfortable earthy tones. I dunno, I'm a big fan of light browns and tans and beiges and olive colors. Hope baby is, too!
Mommy worked hard hand-painting those letters
and finishing all the trim in sage green. It was fun, though, I can't lie!
Mommy's pretty excited about how everything
goes together. And how it's all about baby now, no computers and junk in
the room where a crib and babystuff should be!
I decided to sponge paint the sage green onto
two walls, since the color just kicks butt. I also painted the white shelf
to match the new room!
The finishing touch (well, before the carpet
and furniture) to Rachel's special little space...
A sage colored teddy and a basket filled with
things to make baby smell good and look fresh and clean, and a shelf filled with
special gifts from her baby shower...
Okay, this here is the part where Mommy got all
weepy and sappy.
A special bassinet for new baby to sleep in,
sitting atop fresh new carpeting!
Rachel's first toys: a baby gym/Boppy
combo! I was going to get this for her for Christmas this year...but she
had no toys!
When she is a bit older, baby girl will sleep
here. Did you know it converts into a day bed and a toddler bed?! I
just found out!
A quiet swing for baby to enjoy...
Another sappy mommy moment...
It smells like baby in there with the diapers and soaps and freshly washed baby
blankets...
::sniffle::
We're ready for you, baby
girl!
We can't wait to meet you!
