Organizing Committee

Dear Classmates:

We hope you are all having a wonderful end of year rest in the company of friends and family. We hope that one of your key New Year’s resolutions will be to attend your BIG 30TH year ASF REUNION.The Organizing Committee has been working very hard to organize this great event.

As you know, we have had unforgettable events in the past and want to repeat this. A few months ago we sent you an e-mail where we said that the reunion would be held in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo. As a consequence of Wilma and other logistical/cost issues, we have changed locations.

Our class reunion will be held on the same date, May 26–29, 2006 (Memorial Weekend) in sunny Acapulco. EARLY ACTION REQUESTED

The details of the events and hotel accommodations are discussed below. Please RSVP Luis Mondragón (e-mail) as soon as possible. Your response will allow us to refine our event planning as well as to assure you another unforgettable experience. The events have been budgeted assuming at least 100 participants. Please note that it is really important to purchase your event tickets and book your hotel reservations by the deadlines shown below. We have signed contracts with the caterers and with the Fairmont Pierre Marques Hotel (where we have negotiated a great deal) and we are personally liable for the cost of the event. Your early payment and reservation will allow us to pay for the events as well as to guarantee your hotel accommodations if you are staying at the Fairmont Pierre Marques . We encourage you to stay at this hotel so that we can all be together and have a great time outside the formal events.

EVENTS We will have two evening parties:

  • a COCKTAIL PARTY on Friday at a new local venue, which we will even get to estrenar,
  • and on Saturday a BEACH DINNER PARTY, at Casa del Mar, a beautiful house with ocean front, all for ourselves.

All events are nice casual / tropical wear.

Now, payment and reservations…

  • Cocktail Party and Beach Dinner Party Cost of both events: $250.00 USD per person.
  • In case you are planning to attend in the company of your spouse, a relative or a friend, this cost will also apply for your invitee(s).

*Important: This cost is per person not couples, and only covers both the Cocktail and Beach parties.

Transportation, hotel accommodations and other meals are NOT included.

Payment deadline: ASAP. Deadline, April 1, 2006. (We encourage you to do it as soon as possible).

** Important Note: Unfortunately, children will not be allowed to the two evening events, but more than welcomed at the hotel. Please make your own arrangement for childcare.

    For accommodations, as usual, you are free to reserve a room in any of the hotels in Acapulco. However, we have made arrangements for special rates at the The Fairmont Pierre Marques which is near the Princess Hotel, remember?
    It would be nice for all of us to stay at the same hotel and organize other beach activities and lunches at our own cost. Besides, events will be held near this area.
