A Special Birthday
Please God, make them remember that
Today is a special Birthday,
Make them understand that
The memories don’t go away.
Bless them with ears to hear
and hearts that care,
Enable them to listen while I share,
Shelter them that
they may never know my pain,
Help them to help me know that my child
Life was not in vain
Help them to remember that I wish
That my child was here,
So we could still celebrate
To understand that I still
Feel the nearness of my child
To see beyond my smile and the
Words “I’m Okay”
just let one remember today,
That it is a special Birthday!
HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY
IN HEAVEN CHANNY!
LOVE YOU SO MUCH,
MOM, DAD & KYLE XO
–ON YOUR 18TH BIRTHDAY
Where are you? I scream at the dark sky –
A plea from a Mother whose child has died.
Are you still alive? Is your soul at peace?
Are you happy there –while I’m filled with grief?
Do you hear my voice? Do you see my tears?
Will I see you again? In how many years?
Do you know each time I’m at your grave
And weep for you, that if I could save
Your life by giving mine instead,
You’d be alive and I’d be dead.
For I’ve had forty three years on earth
While you had just seventeen
since I gave you birth.
I will never see you graduate
Or turn “18” –You could hardly wait!
You will never, veiled in white, walk down
That long church aisle in a wedding gown.
I will never kiss your baby’s cheek,
Or while she’s sleeping, take a peek
At her little face, so like your own,
For I know in fact that had you grown,
You’d have been a mother beyond compare.
Am I still your mother while you are there?
Your death has removed a part of me
That is very large, though no one can see.
I hope that from your place above,
You’ll always feel your Mother’s love.
And I hope when my soul departs this place,
The first thing I see is your shining face.
My arms will pull you to my breast
Then I will have eternal rest!
HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY CHANNY!
DID YOU CATCH ALL 18 OF THE
BALLOONS? YOUR FRIENDS &
FAMILY ALL SENT YOU
FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS,
LOVE, MOM, DAD & KYLE XO
