TO MY DEAR, SWEET CHANTEL
FOUR YEARS IN HEAVEN
Four years have passed my child,
Since the day you went away.
I’ve struggled with the heartache,
From the memory of that day.
Each year on this day,
My mind goes back to long ago,
When you and I were together,
Before tragedy changed my life so.
I miss the things we did;
I miss the things you’d say;
I miss the hugs and kisses;
That you gave to me each day.
I miss the night time talking,
Catching up on what was new with you.
I miss the little giggles and the laughter
And the silly things you’d do.
I miss the places we went to,
The special lunches that we shared.
All the shopping trips we made,
And the special way you always cared.
Today I will open the door,
That holds all your special things,
The photos, papers and yearbooks,
And the jewellery and rings.
I’ll hold your special pillow,
You slept with every night.
I can close my eyes and see you.
Oh, what a beautiful site!
I’ll hug your Winnie The Pooh
And Eeyore and Tigger too.
I’ll hold them to my heart,
And let my memory drift back to long ago.
When you and I were together
Before death touched my life so.
I remember so many things,
Things that you and I used to do,
I close my eyes and time takes me back,
To the 17 ½ years I had with you.
I THANK GOD I HAD THOSE CHERISHED
YEARS WITH YOU CHANNY, BUT I MISS
YOU LIKE CRAZY!!

5 Years in Heaven, September 23, 2003
In Loving Memory of our beautiful Daughter and
Sister, Chantel, who left us 5 sad years ago today.
To understand such a loss will take a lifetime or more
Left feeling empty and hollow to the depths of our core.
Not a day passes when she’s not on our mind,
Missing her smile, her laugh and her heart –so kind.
Only family and close friends can truly understand,
The void created by losing our Chan.
Such a joy to our life, such a treasure to hold,
A lifetime of love, wrapped in a 17 year old.
Chan was simply an Angel, loaned to the earth
Bringing joy to us all, from the day of her birth.
All those who knew her were warmed by her smile
For someone so young, she had such grace and style.
Oh, cherished angel in heaven above,
Your memory lives on with undying love.
We miss you and love you lots, Channy.
Forever in our Hearts, Mom, Dad & Kyle xoxoxoxo
