It is a beautiful day here in MN and the sun is out after a few days of rain. My grandson, Nathan is staying with me. I also had a friend from Minneapolis and we had a lot of fun. My grandson works in Ely so he is gone for 8 hours a day, working in Ely.

I feel so happy to be up here and be on the lake and swimming. Last night we went to the Burntside Lodge for dinner and went there by boat. I had Walleye fish-yummy!

Just 2 more days and I will be flying to Ely, MN and will be staying at my place until the end of August. I have been packing, as I will need to fly up there, so some things will be sent up with a frind of mine, who will be in Ely for a fishing trip.

This is a lonely day for me as we had our main meal at noon and no other meals. There are no activities on the week-end so I get quite lonely. I am looking forward to seeing my friends up in Ely. My grandson is living in the other house, as he is working at a place in town. This is the best time of the year to be up there--of course.,I love it all!

I feel so grateful that I have my cyber friends and Mari is such a wonderful friend.

I Came to believe that a power greater than myself can return me to sanity.

Often, I do not ask God's will for me. I still want it my way.

It was so good to hear your voice today and I am happy that you had a good time.

Tonight, I go to a meeting--my last one until I get to Ely. I am so excited!
Love ya

Today has been a slow day for me. I did go to exercise class and then I fixed a little lunch up here in my room.

I can hardly wait to get up to MN and see all my friends and to get a sauna!

Yesterday, our church had an outing at Camp Tycony which belongs to our church, and it is used by other groups. I was so surprised to see a plaque above the door saying..."In memory of Phillip Young," who was my husband for many years. Then I took a walk down the hill to see the pond where they have canoes. It was such a beatuiful day and listening to the birds was such a delight. Then I came up the hill and sat in a chair and got some sun! It felt so good and I was a little red later that evening!I hope I can retain some of these memories.

After, I went to exercise class then I tried to get organized to pack. Since I am flying up to MN. I will send most of my time with a friend of mine who is also coming up to Ely to go fishing.

Today, I went out to brunch with Donna, one of my best friends from Kokomo. It was good for me and she made several recomendations for me as I try to write my children and my grandchildren. She wants me to write what it was like when I was a child.

I feel so grateful to have such a good friend and I miss her when she is in Florida in the winter. I thank God for such a good friend.

I went to see my therapist, Cathy today and she he encouraged me to write as long as possible and write letters to my children and grandchildren, which I have done.

And she suggested I Have a letter re how to reach my girls in case I get lost. I do have an engraved braclet In case I forget to take the addresses with me!

And she wants me to continue to write letters to my children and grandchildren.

And she encouraged me to write a journal online.

I went out to lunch with my youngest daughter, Nancy, today and I had a wonderful shrimp salad at the Red Lobster. I feel so blessed!

"This is my life
It is my one time to be me.
I want to experience
every good thing."

Maya Angelou

My son, David sent me this card and I feel that is what I want to do as long as I can.

I am looking forward to getting up to Minnesota this summer. I was given a red rose the other day for living here at Jefferson Manor for a year. Sometimes it seems longer to me. I have some nice friends here and we take walks on the Wildcat trail. On rainy days, we walk in the halls.

Today, I am going to the beauty shop for a hair cut, nails and a massage.

Last night in our chat room we had a guest who talked about Sundowning. It was very interesting. I wish we could have a copy of what he said--I have forgotten a lot of it! I am grateful that spring is finally here...Alice
