Key to Reading the Mantra Formatting in MS Word files:

1.      BOLD SCRIPT – defines the rhythm pattern

The syllables in bold script are to be given twice the length of those in non-bold script

 

2.      ITALIC SCRIPT

Consonants

The consonants in italic script are of the family of Palatals.

They are formed in the mouth by curling the tongue up and towards the back of the palate. These are to be distinguished from their Dental counterparts which are formed with the tongue on the upper teeth. These are represented in non-italic script. 

 

Vowels

Also in italic script is the vowel “ru.
