My mommy and daddy had been waiting so long for me..the boy we have been praying for they said,but I think my daddy was the proudest cause now there would be another man in the house..lol.I already had a big sister so My daddy calls me the "the little man",but mommy said I was gonna be a gymnast cause I was always movin around and kickin..lol.
Things went good in the start until the day mommies doctor said there were problems,they checked on me with a thing called an ultrasound but I was ok,so mommy just had to take it easy and rest for a while.It was when mommy and daddy went out to eat one day...for Chinese that my mommy and daddy got scared,mommy got sick so we went to see the doctor again!That was when doctors put mommy and me in the hospital cause mommy had this sickness called preclampsia so they put her on all these medications to help us and a shot to help my lungs develop faster....they said in case I came early,I was only 28 weeks!Mommy got sicker so we got put in this big ambulance and taken to Marshfield Hospital cause mommy was really sick and the doctor told her I would have to come into the world early.
I entered the world by emergency c-section 2 1/2 months before mommy and daddy said I was expected!I was so tiny and fragile that doctors put me in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit).
Mommy and daddy were so scared but I am a little fighter!Mommy and Daddy were able to stay close by in a really nice place called "The Ronald McDonald House" where they could come and see me whenever they wanted.
We kept a journal during our NICU journey with Jeadin,charting his weight and progress as he grew and got better.
Doing well today,billi blanket put on today to help with the jaundice and the ventillator was turned down.Getting turned every 4 hours and also started on routine meds to help his heart today,taken off ventillator later in the day.
Back on machine to assist breathing,did well for several hours with no help before becoming to tired.Given 1 cc breast milk by feeding tube today.
Billi blanket turned off today and only on cpap machine to assist breathing now,4 hrs on and 4 hrs off.Still needs a little extra oxygen in isolette when off machine.
Taken off breathing machine today to try him without it and a central line put in for IV's today.I (dad) held him for first time.
Lost a little weight but still doing ok,had an apnea spell and bradyed while I (dad) was holding him but came out on his own.Doctors are still pleased with his progress.
Jaedin pulled out the feeding tube last night and feeding is up to 3 cc an hour now.
2 lbs. 10 oz. today and is up to 6.5 cc of breastmilk an hour now.Very active,has eyes open alot.Tries to pull the feeding tube out of his nose.
Took out feeding tube today and disconnected the pulse ox as well.He has his eyes wide open today! Doctor wants to try first bottle feeding today.Jeadin is doing very well!!
IV line removed today!!
Jaedins weight gain has slowed down some but he is still dong good,his temperature is also a little low this afternoon so the nurse put his hat back on.
Jaedn weighs 3 pounds today!!! YEAH!! One step closer too going home.He ate from a bottle 4 feedings in a row.
Feeding tube put back in today but is now on demand feeding schedule-80 cc minimum per shift.Had a spell last night,first one since July 19.
Doing real good!! temperature is a little low today so his hat is back on and he is all bundled up.Had another spell last night setting off his alarms but came out of it quickly,feeding tube taken back out today.
Jaedin was circunsized today,Dr. did a good job at it.Very tired after circumcision and had to be tube fed.His body temperature is low again today.He weighs 3 lbs. 6.2 oz. today.
Jaedin lost 2 oz. last night,he is still in the isolette because he is having problems keeping up his body temperature.He weighs 3 lbs. 7.2 oz. today.The doctor says if he can keep up his body temperature he will go in an open crib in a couple days.
Jaedin gained back the 2 ounces that he lost and his temperature is doing better.He is 3 lbs. 8.4 oz. today.
Jaedin is 3 lbs 12 oz. today and is in an open crib!!! Happy birthday Jaedin-1 month old today.
Finally the day we had been waiting for!

Jaedin came home today and joined the family!
Jeadin went back to the NICU!! He is not eating well,throwing up with diarea.He turned blue during his feeding.He is expected to be there a few days.
Today we found out that his hemoglobens are low and his organs are not getting enough oxygen.
Jadin was released again on August 10th and put on an iron supplement that he is supposed to take for a year,he weighed in at 4 lbs 8.2 oz..
Jaedin is now 5 months old (2 1/2 months corrected) and is a happy healthy little boy with the exception of an umbilical hernia.His most recent accomplishments are learning to roll,and holding his head up really well.He is also smiling and cooing as well as trying to hold his own bottle.But there may be more challenges to come as Jaedin gets bigger.
