Apple Custard Pie

1/4 Cup Sugar

1/4 Cup Cornstarch

3/4 Cup Egg Beaters® 99% Egg Substitute

1/2 Cup Applesauce, Unsweetened

1/2 Cup Corn Syrup, Light

1 Teaspoon Vanilla

2 Large Apples -- peeled and sliced

1 Pie Crust (9 Inch)

1 Tablespoon Chopped Walnuts


In medium bowl combine sugar and cornstarch. Whisk in the egg beaters. Stir in the applesauce, corn syrup and vanilla. Fold in half of the apples. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Place remaining apples in overlapping circles on top of pie. Sprinkle with walnuts. Bake in 375º F oven 50 minutes or until center of pie is set. Cool on wire rack.
