8 ounces tomato sauce -- low sodium
1/2 cup reduced calorie ketchup
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup low sodium Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons onion -- grated
1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon pepper
1 clove garlic -- minced
1 bay leaf
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan; stir well. Bring to a boil over medium
heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Discard bay leaf. Use on pork or poultry or tofu.
