Time

I found as I was reading Mrs. Dalloway, I would often times get confused with the transition and leaps back and forth between characters in regards to time. Looking at the way Virginia Woolf uses time, we learn so much about the characters and see how the story pieces together.

Psychological Themes

If I learned anything from this text I would have to say it is the idea of individual interpretation. Each person has a different idea of what truth and reality are. In this text Virginia Woolf sets it up so we (the readers) can look at the world from a sane and insane perspective. There are several instances where this idea is emphasized. Throughout the text we see that human beings interpret moments variously and each other. For instance, we see different points of views in the first chapter of Mrs. Dalloway by the individuals she encounters.
