I am Pharaoh Tutankhamen, Ruler of upper and lower Egypt, and of the nile, in all its beauty, and of all things living in this wonderful land. I am the 12th ruler of the mighty 18th Dynasty, here is my story, in all its completeness.
I was born to Pharaoh Akhenaten and his second wife, Kiya. Akhenaten Changed the old ways, breaking centuries of tradition, serving only one god, the Aten.(The sun disk, a manifestation of Ra) He moved the Capital from Thebes to a new city, Akhetaten. When Akhenaten died, a ruler by the name of Neferneferaten began ruling, your Egyptologists think it could have been Nefertiti by a different name. (Nefertiti was the chief wife of Akhenaten) He/She only ruled for 3 years, and then I became Pharaoh, I was eight at the time. I had to be married before I could inherit the throne, so I was wed to my half-sister, Ankhsenamun. I ruled for 10 years, from 1334-1324 B.C.E.
Shortly after I began to rule, I changed my name from Tutankhaten to Tutankhamen, I moved the Capital back to Thebes, and re-opened all the other Temples. I died when I was only 18, your Scientists think I was murdered because on x-rays there is damage that suggests a blow to the back of my head.
