" A Touch of Love "
you were six months old
and full of fun,
with a blink of an eye
you were suddenly one,
There were so many things
we were going to do,
but I turned my head
and you turned two,
At two you were very
dependent on me,
but independence took over
when you turned three,
Your third birthday,
another year I tried to ignore,
but when I lit the candles
there weren't three,
but four,
Four was the year
that you really strived,
Why, look at you now,
you're already five,
Now you are ready
for books and for rules,
this is the year
that you go to school,
The big day came
you were anxious to go,
we walked to the bus,
going oh, so slow,
As you climbed aboard
and waved good-bye,
I felt a lump in my throat
and tears stung my eyes,
Time goes so fast,
it's hard to believe,
that just yesterday
you were home here with me,
And tomorrow when
the bus brings you home
and you jump to the ground,
You'll be wearing
your cap & graduation gown,
So I am holding on
to these moments
as hard as I can,
Because the next time I look
I'll be seeing a man !

Mother's Love
A mother's love is something so true,
a feeling inside
I already knew
It is an instinct that comes
from within my heart,
something I felt
right from the start
You brought me joy,
that no one can replace,
my heart was full of love
before I ever saw your face
As everyday goes by,
as I've watched you grow,
I saw the beauty of life
I have come to know
Your smile so innocent,
as I watched you play,
wondering what life
will eventually bring your way
Now as time goes on
I can plainly see,
you are the most precious gift
ever given to me
For every kiss good-nite,
every hug,
&
"mommy I love you too",
makes up for all the "I'm sorry's",
I have ever heard from you
A mother's love
will never leave your side,
I am always here for you
so just reach inside,
find all the gifts
I have given to you,
to become the best you can be,
and always remember...
how much
" I love you "
"You Are Your Own Hero"
As you walk thru life
Find strength in your heart
For every wish you have,
written by, Mom,
the road may be rough,
but remember what you've learned
to never give up.
never let yourself down,
don't let any one tell you
your dreams can't be found
remember I have two
one for your dreams,
the other for you
know that whatever you wish for,
I am wishing too,
so they all will come true, and more.
