I keep my emotions in my shirt pocket,
In a tiny blue box just above my left breast;
They’re much easier to handle there.
I can take them out and then
Put them back in whenever I please,
And go about living life without a care
In the world. And the best thing is:
The only people that see them are the
Ones I allow. Anyone else? I wouldn’t dare!
When sad, I seem happy; When anxious—calm.
They’re all packaged, yet no one doubts that they’re real—
These sterilized emotions everyone swears
I express so well. Synthesized by the latest technology,
Hand-picked by the finest, and perfect for any occasion.
And all from a box! An endless supply of feeling in there.
