3 more days of school 3 more days of school. *chants* god, i can't wait. on the last day of school i'm going to indianapolis with my mom for one of her conferences. it's usually pretty chill cause all of her students are really nice to me and they take me sightseeing and out to lunch and stuff. then my mom and i are going to visit u. of chicago, northwestern, and washington u.
oh!, but the best part of summer is gonna be when i go to new york. the first few days my mom is going to be there with me and we're gonna look at some more schools i'm interested in. then i'm gonna stay with my aunt sandy in manhattan for a couple weeks and do a visitation at the hospital for special surgery in the bioengineering department where my dad used to work. that'll be really interesting i think. i hope.
then i'm coming back here. joy of joys. i just loooooooove this city! and what a truly wonderful city this is with a model public transportation system that i simply adore and just can't get enough of. (i'm being sarcastic, of course. sarcasm is rather hard to convey online. but this city has the crappiest public transportation system of any relatively large city i've ever been in). like some buses, in fact most, come only once every hour. so if you miss your bus, and you have anywhere important to be, you're pretty much screwed. and even more delightful than the schedule is the interesting shady characters you're likely to meet en route. i'm tellin you, the freaks come out at night. it's kinda scary. so that's our publc transportation system for ya. makes you just wanna hop on a bus right now, doen't it? not to mention the fact that it's so humid here that sometimes it feels like the air is dripping. pleasant, huh? well, i'll leave you with that thought. have a nice day free of public transportation wherever you are, you lucky bastards, you!
