well, i know i probably complain a lot about having to start school again after spring break, but now that i'm actually back in the swing of things, it's not so bad. i'm still sick of school and ready to graduate, but on the whole, i think it'll be tolerable.
anyhow, i like some of the expressions brits use, and if i knew it wouldn't make me sound affected, i would use them myself. like "bang," for instance. i once heard an english lady on television say, "right bang in the middle." so i guess you could also say "right bang at the edge of the cliff," or something like that. oh! and you know what i like that most canadians i know say? they say, "i'll phone you," instead of "i'll call you." i like that. and i like the word wicked too. no one says it down here. only up north.
i absolutely hate the word acoustics. i think it's horrid. i can't even say why i loathe it, i just do. and even worse, i once had an english teacher who pronounced it "a-cue-sticks." what is that??? i swear, that annoyed me to no end. i felt like kicking her.
