Meet Lestat...

Lestat de Lioncourt. Lestat is the general narrator for the first few vampire chronicle books, and the general reason for all of their adventures.

Lestat is the brave, mishceivous, strong at the right moments-pitiful at the right moments, heroic but sensitive, masculine but sweetly adorable person we all want to be.

This is probably why he is by far the most famous, and favorite, character of the general public. Lestat, like Louis, has his guilt for what he does, but generally denies it or tries to hide it. He doesn't let it stop him from enjoying his eternal life, and while he occasionally hits a depression point, it never seems to last for Lestat. He has a true lust for life, and proves it very well when he has to fight to regain his immortality in "The Tale of the Body Thief." Though he has tried to commit suicide before, he doesn't even know if he really thought he would die.

Lestat also has an extreme desire for adventure. And that has taken him, quite literally, to Hell and Heaven. He has seen God, and was saught as a replacement by the devil himself.

Lestat is a perfectly wonderful character, who's charm could awaken anyone's spirit and curiosity, even a 6,000 year old sleeping vampire queen in a coma-like state, which he did.

Lestat is loved my most all of the other vampires, though annoys them w/ his mischief quite often, and those he loves most are:

His mother whom he made into a vampire, Gabrielle. Probably the best friend he'll ever have, Louis. Though he often has denied it, he shares a beautiful love/hate relationship w/ Armand. His mentor, Marius. And his newest fledgling, David Talbot.
