My spirit may be easily broken
Unseen to your eyes or heart
Your hurtful words, lined with sarcasm
Pierce through my many layers of armour
That I must painstakingly begin to repair
Your tongue may be the sharpest weapon
known to man
If you cut to deeply
with a careless word
I crumple invisibly, fallen from injury
Cuts and sores may heal in time
But words may scar for life
Be careful, your you possess a deadly
weapon
And may not even know it
back
