Wedding Portrait or King & Queen Play Putt-Putt Golf
From a book of hours. It celebrates the Union of the Thistle (James) and the Rose (Margaret). Proof that Margaret was indeed blonde. I call this The Map Pencil Portrait because it looks like some of the pictures I drew for my fourth grade social studies classes. Whoever drew this did a great job with the hands. I could never get the hands or the feet right on these assignments.
Is it me or does this picture look like James and Margaret are in the middle of a putt-putt golf game? Look out for the windmill, Jimmy!
Queen Margaret of Scotland
Note the look of mischief in her eyes. Looks like she packed away one too many Hostess Ding Dongs in her time.

King James IV
The Renaissance Prince in the truest sense of the name. Look close at the lapels of his great coat. It may be ermine, but I think it looks more like cheetah or leopard spots.
More portraits to come.
