QUEEN MARGARET'S ROYAL HIGHLANDERS: THE ROYAL SCOTTISH GUARD

The Queen of Scots Royal Bodyguards

In the 2005 season of Scarborough Faire, the Scottish Fencibles became Queen Margaret's Royal Highlanders. This page features those men who were the first Royal Scottish Guard.

Sir Ramsey

Once a mercenary, later in the employ of Queen Margaret, Ramsey is one bad dude. He carried the Royal Standard. He was created a Knight of the Order of the Thistle and has been instrumental in the beginnings of sealing a Spanish alliance with one Dona Arabella Graciela de Serrano, who lists bullfighting as one of her hobbies.

Seithach MacNaughton, Right Guard

Shay enlisted in this woman's army to see the world. He carried the Saint Andrews before retiring to his estates in Scotland. He passed on the honour to James MacLachlan, squire to Sir Ramsey.

James MacLachlan & Father

Wee James stepped into Seithach's shoes when Shay was called home for duty. He will be a fine knight someday himself!

Queen Margaret is also attended by the Oculus Nox, a band of Irish mercenaries sworn to protect the sister of King Henry VIII in her role as Princess of Ireland. They are recognized by the sashes of leopard fur they wear in Her Majesty's honour.
