Today is Tuesday. I had a busy week last week, so I didn’t write at all. I went home for a visit on Friday and stayed until this past Thursday. I had a really good time. I got to hang out with my friends, go shopping with my mom, visit my grandparents, chat with my stepdad, and so on and so fourth. It started out as a pretty crappy trip, due to my stupid letter to Jon’s mom, but a couple days into it we got everything worked out via email and I was able to enjoy the remainder of my visit.
I got back Thursday at 1:30. I felt so horrible. I can’t even remember what I did for the rest of the day… maybe I slept??? At night Jon took me out to dinner at the Sussex Queen.
Friday was my prenatal visit. It went well. I haven’t gained or lost any weight, which is fine with me. When I got home I painted the baby’s room. It looks really good. I’ll be taking pictures and adding them to my baby page soon, so check back often. Friday night Jon and I watched Bless The Child. Well, I watched it while Jon slept. Then I went into the baby’s room and put together the changing table. Saturday Jon put the crib together and now the room is all finished.
Sunday was my baby shower. We got a lot of great things for the baby, and the things we didn’t get, I bought on Monday with money that Jon’s friend Matt gave us as a shower present. So basically we’re all done baby shopping, until the baby is born. Then we have to buy clothes, more diapers, etc.
I’ve been having a lot of pain lately, hopefully it’s nothing, but it hurts and I want it to go away. I have also been SICK!
I have a sore throat, a constant headache, and I have been throwing up for some reason.
I have found the couch and loveseat I want, and will be spending the next couple weeks trying to get Jon to buy them for me. I have also decided on the colors I want for my kitchen and living room. The kitchen— light smoke blue, The living room—dark khaki. The couch and loveseat are light khaki with white piping. They’re from JC Penney and are surprisingly inexpensive. I can’t afford the really nice stuff anyways, but I want to get this place looking nicer before the baby’s born, otherwise it’s destined to look bleak and bare for a long time.
