~ He Lives ~

JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Pilot wrote the title in Hebrew , Greek and Latin and placed on the cross with Jesus. (St. John 19:19)

Standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple (John whom he loved), he said unto his mother, "Woman, behold thy son!". Then he said to John, Behold thy mother!". From that hour John took her unto his own home.

After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I thirst". There was a vessel full of vinegar; and they filled a sponge with vinegar, put it to his mouth.

When Jesus received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished; and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Then the soldiers came, broke the legs of the first and of the other which was crucifed with him; when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead they did not break his legs but one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side; forthwith came blood and water. For these things were done that the scripture should be fulfiled (A bone of him shall not be broken St. John 19:36)

Joseph of Arimathaea, (being a disciple of Jesus), took his body where Nicodemus was the first who came and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes; bound his body in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of burial to the Jews.

Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein a man never laid before. ( A large stone was placed at the entrance)

The first of the week Mary Magdalen arrived early only to find the stone had been taken away. She ran to Simon Peter and to the other disciple to tell them. She cried out, "They have taken away the Lord!".

They rushed to the garden, inside where Jesus' body was placed but only found the linen clothes he was wearing. They all left but Mary (for they knew not of the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead) who stood and wept. Then she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and the other at the feet, where Jesus had lain. They said unto her,"why are you crying?" "Because they have taken away my Lord and I know not where they have taken him". Just as she had finished speaking she turned herself back and saw Jesus standing, and she knew not that it was Jesus.

Jesus said unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence tell me where thous hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus said unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni: which is to say, Master.

Jesus said unto her, "Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethen, and say unto them I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Then Mary Magdalen went and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

The same day at evening where the disciples were assembled, Jesus stood in the midst and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

When he had so said, he showed them his hands and his side, then the disciples were glad for indeed they knew he was the Lord. His hands bore the scars where he was nailed to the cross and his side bore the scar where he was but pierced from the sword.

Jesus then said to them, "Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you". After Jesus spoke these words to his disciples, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, "Receive ye the Holy Ghost! Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.. (St John 19 and 20 )

Until the day in which Jesus was taken up (rose from the dead) he came back as the Holy Ghost giving commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen and taught.

He showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of the things pertaining to the kingdome of God: and being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but waith for the promise of the Father, which saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

When they therefore came together they asked him saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon year: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

-----------

This is by no means the full account of Jesus' journey up to the cross, what He had to endure, what He taught, what He sacrificed for us; the removal of all mankinds sins. His life He freely gave for us.

Our Heavenly Fathers' only begotten son gave his life that we may have eternal life. The facts (Gods promises to us) are that Jesus DID give up His life, died a most horrible death on the cross, rose from the dead on the third day so that our sins will be forgiven.

It is through Him (the Holy Ghost) power here on earth to do Gods will. His power did not stop after the disciples died, it lives and we all have spiritual gifts that we are to use to glorify God with.

The Bible (Gods word, His promises to us) explains in I Corinthians 12 thru 16 (I encourage you to read and study , ask God to open His word up to you, awaken that which is already there; always humble yourself before the Lord, seek and it shall be given, ask and you will receive what God wishes for you to have of his spiritual gifts with His blessings).

"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant". There are diversites of gifts, but the same Spirit; differences of administrations, but the same Lord; diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. The manifestation of the Spirit is given to EVERY man to profit withal.

Receive Jesus as your savior, humbly ask for forgiveness of your sins and then seek Gods plan within your life.

You might be thinking, how can I seek that which I do not know of? Read the bible ~ for it has all the answers we are to know, all His guidance is right there; by choice (for we are given a free will)from this day forward choose the way, Gods way; His will and His time you will receive your spiritual 'gifts'.

I Corinthians 16:58...Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Choose today, the seed (His seed) which has been planted within your spirit, now let God water..invite Him in. Rejoice in knowing the more you seek, the more He will give you for He loves all His children.

Humble, seek, ask and always give thanks unto the Lord for "God is always blessing".
