Here is the Poem I wrote for June called Ice Dancing.
Ice Dancing
The music starts
and dance begins
skating across the ice
two bodies merged
as if they're one
with a symmetry
that's so nice
the dance goes on
and she flies
unto the sky
as the swan folds her wings
and her lover mourns
as she falls
about to die
motion
movement
and ecstasy
athletic art at it's best
each step they take
every movement they make
shining strong above the rest
ice dancing
I wish I could
it's a beauty
as never before
ice dancing
creativity
to glide forever more

This is the Poetry Society Book.

This is my latest poem I wrote about the 4th of July. It's called "The First Americans".
They were the first Americans
Come, children
and let us talk a while
about what it took
to make America free
it happened not so long ago
or so it seems that way
when you're as old as me
they were so young
they were so brave
come child, climb upon my knee
and listen to my tale
of those strong men
who fought to make America free
they were the first Americans
They fought for freedom
and many died
for dignity and justice
side by side
they pledged to make
this country free
they fought for freedom
for you and me
they were the first Americans
they rang a bell
for liberty
and signed a declaration
for all to see
a bill of rights
they made their choice
they fought to be free
and with one great voice
they said we will build
a brave new nation
no taxation
without representation
they were the first Americans
I just received my Fourth Level Award. I am so furry proud. Here it is!
