I feel we are but travelers,
With no destination set,
That life is about the journey,
And the people that we have met.
Life is a learning experience,
A guide towards much more,
To teach us right from wrong,
And prepare us for what’s in store.
Although many will survive the lessons,
Others will run and hide,
And before their lives have even begun,
They cross to the other side.
But don’t think you can place the blame,
Because your friend had no chance to live,
For God needed an angel in heaven,
Someone who’d learnt how to forgive.
So whenever you grieve for your loved ones,
Know that their death was only their birth,
And that through our lives as human beings,
We are mere travelers of this earth.
