I watched you sleep tonight,
Watched your body rise and fall
With each deep breath.
When you exhaled, I breathed you in.
I smelt the sweetness of your hair
And watched your eyelids flicker.
I watched your soft lips
And wanted to touch them,
To feel them brush against mine,
To have you all to myself,
To own you and never lose you.
I smiled to myself and willed you to wake up
And see me... And then I just hoped I was in your dream.
