I never said goodbye
I never got my choice
You were just gone one day
My opinoin never voiced

I came to see you one day
Came to see you happy
I remember you by the gates
The place where you would meet me

You used to pace back and forth
For God knows how long
I'll never see you smile again
And God I know it's wrong

I never said goodbye
I dreaded the fateful day
I guess I always thought
That you would always stay

You weren't supposed to go
You're not supposed to die
You and me forever young
Or at least we'd always try

I never said goodbye to you
I still don't really want to
I just liked it that way
When it was me and you

I never said goodbye
But now I get my shot
Goodbye my friend, I wish that I
Could see you...but I cannot
