Welcome to my home on the Web! My name is Gabriel and I'm a 3-year-old Maine Coon. My favorite things to do include prowling the neighborhood, hunting, cuddling with my Mom, fighting with my sister, and finding various spots around the house on which to flop and stretch out.

I was brought to a shelter with my brother and sister when I was just old enough to be on my own. I was there for a few days, and some people came and took my brother and then my sister, and I was really lonely. I was the runt of the litter, had fleas and lots of toes, and was pretty funny-looking, I'll admit. The next day I was lying on my back, thinking about why water is wet, when a finger appeared against the bars of my cage and I heard a voice coo to me. A playmate! I batted at the finger and made a new friend.
When I got home, I met my sister, who hissed at me. Her name is Lily and she's a total delinquent. I try not to let her influence me.
I immediately called dibs on the couch. I fit perfectly in between the back of the cushions -- I always ended up falling in because I was so small. Ahhh, those were the days...Can you get much better than that?
When I got a little bigger, it was time to get my own place. I made my own apartment behind some books in the bookcase. When my sister was chasing me, I could leap into the opening and she was too big to follow, ha ha ha! I'd nap in there for hours, then peek out to see what was going on.
My sister likes to smack me for no reason, so I like to sneak up behind her and jump on her head. Sisters' ears make good snackin'!
As I got older, my Mom began taking me outside on a leash and cat-harness so that if I ever got out, I'd at least know where I was. Well, I *love* it outside! I can play with just about everything! I made a bunch of friends and even had a Maine Coon buddy who'd come to visit. I like it when it's snowing, raining, sunny, nighttime, anytime except a hot day. My Mom has to try to keep up with me!
I'm proud of each and every one of the the 13 toes on my front paws! That's right, 2 extra on the right and three on the left. I can't use them all, true, but they give me little "hands" that I can wrap around any unsuspecting prey, such as my aunt here. Arrrr. Just kidding, I don't bite hard. Every now and then my Mom clips my nails because they get really long -- I *hate* it when she does that!
