The Home Utility Project is a freeware Desktop Interface combining the similarities of a program launcher and gui. On this page you will find downloads for The WinME Utility Project and The Home Utility Project. The projects are designed for both WindowsME(R) and WindowsXP(R) and later.

INFORMATION
The Home Utility Project is a set of shortcuts to programs in the form of buttons on an interface.
A freeware lifestyle utility that covers everything from A to Z that you want to do on your computer.
One large display (1024x768px) that lets us have everything we need or want in one handy location.
No more mousing around your computer to get things done - all programs are at your fingertips.
Start programs or open files and webpages quickly and easily with just a click of your mouse.
The design is based around the Home and Work idea allowing easy access for busy people.
The overall idea is to 'set and forget' the main interface programs then add more as needed.Each project version is slightly different from the next and may offer new functions.
Power users can even pop it onto a Flash Drive as a Portable Application.
Access your other opened programs by clicking in the taskbar.There's more than one way to compute !

All of the projects are HTML Applications and are written using HTA.
Back in 2006 the plan was to complete the project by the end of 2008, albeit for building a program version. The project is now complete. Unless we can think of newer items to include on the interface, it will remain as is. A very big thankyou to everyone for their input. The focus will now be towards new interface styles, backgrounds, buttons, and colours.
Select the Screen Size you require and download the project to My Documents and unzip.Always read the included Help file before starting to use any of the projects.
