The centre of town in Ardara -- known as 'The Diamond.' When Kris' great-grandparents lived here, they would attend 'Fair Day' ...the first of every month when buyers and sellers gathered to exchange cattle, sheep, eggs, and tweed.

This building was the Royal Irish Constabulary in the late 19th century.
Kris' great-grandfather Thomas Slye was an R.I.C. policeman here.

This was the home of Kris' great-grandparents. Kris' grandmother Margaret lived here until she left for America.

The Central Bar: where we had a pint... and Kris' great-grandparents probably did too!

Church of the Holy Family, built 1903 AD.

Kris' grandmother was baptized and great-grandparents were married in the earlier church which stood in this same spot. They knocked it down and built this church months after her baptism.
