A definite highlight of the trip was the traditional music of O'Connor's Pub in Doolin. |
The pubs in the tiny village of Doolin are renowned for traditional Irish music. It's informal and starts over a few pints. Musicians bring their instruments to the pub and start improvising with other absolute strangers. Soon a band is formed, complete with fiddles, flute, guitars, bagpipe, accordian, tin whistle, and drum. |
Some young musicians spend the whole summer camping in Doolin, learning songs from their elders. |
