Works by Natalie Rose

Hi All! How are you doing? I decided that I wanted to make a seperate page for my own works, as long as that's okay with you, for your criticing and also because I'm putting a lot on "The Peaceful Meadow" and I didn't want to interfere with your submissions. If their are any veyr active memebers, who submit 5 or more works (poems or stories) they may also have their own page if they wish. I hope you enjoy some of my new stuff, and I'd love to hear your opinion, which you can put on the "Peacful Reflections" Postboard. And as always, feel free to e-mail me at GliderCat13@yahoo.com Love ya!

warm

scolding hot
but this mug doesn’t burn
frost-bit hands
melted chocolate
dripped
with swelling white sugar
smacks numb, glowing red
lips
fire surging
down
through the icicle
color returns to the skin
white angels
each
different
glisten in cloudy eyes
twirling, dancing
through the air
gracefully
sweep to
the ground
burn warm cheeks
tickle cool ones
slowly moisten eye lashes
silence
*blink*
pines stand at attention
while she slowly sways
mmmm…
delicious warm hot coco
smiles speedily spread

Speechless

tears
blood
both emerging from my eyes
merging as one lethal combination
flowing
raging
like a river with no shores
moving in circles, so as there is no end
bare
vulnerable
don’t scold me like a child
but do not leave me in silence just the same
touch
embrace
Why do you fear to think of me that way?
just hold me, now, when I’m shivering
need
want
I need your kiss, your words of comfort
much more than I want them
red
empty
red, the color of my pure, untouched lips
empty is my soul without you at my side
weak
rescue
my feeble body, crumbling away
save me from my own hell
falling
fast
my knees crack beneath my burden, as they strike the floor
and you turn your back, without a second thought-
leaving me speechless……

blood

blood
my hands
covered in blood
dripping
staining
ponds of blood
spreading
tears
fill my eyes
knees
getting weak
falling
to the floor
away
from the light
from hope
pain?
inevitable
punishment?
none
impunity?
not quite
victims?
just one
scared?
yes
calm?
soon
darkness?
too much
afraid, of the blood?
no
who's blood?
my own.

"In Here"
By Natalie Rose

Do you feel trapped in here,
in this room of glorious things?
Everything you need is in here,
but you are sad, as you stare outside at free birds on the wing

Do you want to leave this place,
and find something for your soul?
This is what I think looking at your face.
But you merely stare at the wall, through a tiny hole.

Do you wish to go on the other side,
on the other side of the door?
Why would you want to go outside,
what do you want to do that for?

There is danger on the other side of that big brown door,
and that's the reason I keep you in here

I care for you very much,
that's why I keep you in here.
Why would you want to take a risk such?
Even though you hate it here.

Is there a reason you want to leave this room?
Is there something on the other side, what or whom?

You may hate it here to always stay,
but remember, I will never go away.

Forever you may be in here,
and forever I will be here, to wipe away the tears.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Would You?
By Natalie Rose
If I accomplished my greatest goal, would you congratulate me?
If I did my best, but only got a B, would you be proud of me?
If I got a solo in a concert, would you critic how I played it?
If you were a witness to what someone else did, would you stand up for me when I got accused for it?
If it meant you could hang with the in crowd would you tell me deepest secret?
If I got the part you wanted in the school play, would you clap for me on opening night?
If I wasn’t good news, but it was the truth, would you hate me for telling you?
If you were having a bad day, would you take it out on me?
If I needed to hear it, would you tell me the truth?
If you knew it would hurt my feelings, would you tell me your opinion?
If I’m not standing right there, will you still stand up for me when others make fun?
If I lay bleeding in the street, would you stop to help me?
If you hurt me physically or mentally, would you feel bad about it?
If I sat crying in a corner, would you come a comfort me?
If I were the odd one out, would you just watch and feel sorry for me?
If people pointed and made fun of me, would you laugh with them?
If you saw the chance, would you take advantage of me?
If I left, would you notice?
If I moved, would you write?
If I suddenly left this world, would you mourn over me?
If I told you to do what was best for you and leave me, would you do it?
If I were in my hour of need, would you leave me?
One Day If Times Got Tough, would I discover you were only a fair weather friend??
