Our chairman comes in the top 10 out of over 300 applicants across the country for the coveted Spotlight wards for achieving the greatest impact in their community. For details see Spotlight links above.

In October 2004

During Local Democracy Week, our own chairman chaired a major conference in the Borough Council Chamber. This was  attended by local borough councillors and Hemel Hempstead's MP Tony
McWalter.

The event—which included workshops on keeping healthy, staying safe, and making a contribution—lasted all day was attended by representatives of young people across the borough.

Annually, we participate in community functions, such as The Lions' Fetes and the Christmas Lights, where we have a stall and through various fund-raising initiatives help  raise money to promote places for members at national conferences and costs towards projects.

While the skateboard initiative has been delayed through the quagmire of planning procedures, our involvement in community consultation and the presentation of our case to Dacorum Borough Council won us praise for the quality of our work.
