Maps

For copyright reasons we can only reproduce the trail leaflet map. The cartography is the work of Bill Willett. It is technical problems that fail to fully justify his efforts here. However, the following references will take you to the Dacorum Borough Council's web site where you can see Berkhamsted's relationship to the Borough and the South-east of England.

 This reference is:
Dacorum

also showing a 60-mile radius of Berkhamsted and in more local detail

If you then click on the following reference and enter in the post code 'HP4 2BQ', click the 'post code' box and click 'enter', you will see a larger scale map of Berkhamsted. This can be enlarged and manipulated and then printed out.

Details and time-tables for local, London and national public transport services can be found on the Town Council's Subject Index site 'Transport'. The following link will take you there.

General information. Kodak is approximately 1 mile from Hemel Hempstead railway station and some 4 miles from Berkhamsted. There is a direct bus service (500). Taxis are available from both stations and there is a taxi stand in Water Lane, off the High Street by Tesco, in Berkhamsted.

Chesham (The Elgiva Hall) is straight up the one-way Chesham Road, over the bypass, through Ashley Green, zig zag down White Hill into the next valley. You keep to the major road all the way onto Chesham town centre by-pass where the Elgiva Hall is signposted.

If returning to Berkhamsted come down King's Road (turning left at the roundabout (carousel)) or carry straight over the by-pass and roundabout, past Ashlyns school (on the right) where you will be diverted right and down the hill through the housing estate where, if you turn left at the 'T' junction you will arrive beside 'The Rex'.
