PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT ON ENVIRONMENT AWARD

19th May 2003 - Action for Market Towns - East of England Conference - Newmarket

The East of England Market Towns Advisory Forum granted the East of
England Market Towns Award for Heritage to CARP. 

This award was acknowledged by
the Minister for Rural Affairs Rt Hon Alun Michael MP
 he will be sending a letter to the chair of CARP also.
 
Lindy Foster-Weinreb submitted the award proposal (in consultation with
British Waterways) and was present at the ceremony to accept the award on behalf
of all involved.
 
 A grand certificate was presented and will be displayed in Berkhamsted -
 centrally -  location to be confirmed. 

Also, the project will be included in the EEDA
(East of England Development Agency)
Best Practice Guide.
