Users of English and Bahasa Indonesia

There are around 200 million people in Indonesia currently using Bahasa Indonesia actively for daily conversation and local/regional business. While English is recognized as one of the main international language, beside French, Italy, Portuguese, Spanish, Latin, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, and Hindi/Urdu.

Roughly half of the world's citizen is familiar with English. But most of them is encouraged to do so because most of the information in the online world (cable TV and web) is displayed in English.

But there are still some unique paradigms, social rules, or proverbs that could not be replaced by English. At the other hand, the structure of English idioms and collocations make it hard to learn for many people who didn't use English as the main language.

So here, in the missing part, is the main role of human translator. But how many pages could a human translator handle in a day? Not much, I bet -- except if he/she is equipped with a computer aided translation, or the widely used terminology is 'Machine Translation'. This work is also known as 'localization' of the English texts.
