He is a mighty duke in the infernal regions and commands thirty legions. His special office (mission) is to sink ships of war and slay men. After 1,000 years (or 1,500 years) he ”hopes to return to the 7th Heaven,” as he confided to Solomon. When invoked he manifests as a man with the wings of a griffin. Focalor is an anagram for Rofocale.

He can render people invisible and he knows how to restore lost property. He is also called a chevalier with 29 legions at his command.

He teaches art, rhetoric, and all languages, and causes men to be loved by their enemies. When he is invoked he manifests in the form of a sea monster.
