One Friday afternoon, I was sitting in the waiting room of a car dealership whilst the tires on the car were being rotated. I was flipping through a magazine to pass the time, and I came across an add for Shiseido, which we all recognize as Mana's makeup brand.

I imediatly (and none-too-discretely) tore the add out, and set in the back of my mind that I would make a shrine to this much neglected cause of Mana's womanly beauty.

The site for this fabulous makeup brand is in Japanese, English (linked above), Taiwanese, Thailand, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Mandarin, and Portuguese. All you need to do is use the drop down menu at the top to select your country and language. They have everything except hair dye.

But for now, let's stick to the enlgish part of the site. There, is featured a wonderful device called the "Tokyo Tracker", which has up to date information about the trends on the streets of Tokyo. It features little movies about the making for the design they are showing. The movies are played on RealPlayer, and are only shown in English. There are archives, however, in Japanese or English which also feature RealPlayer movies. In my opinion, I like this part of the site the best, mostly because I am infatuated with Japanese culture, but also because it gives you an insite on what's going on across the sea. It allows you to follow the trends, and preech them to your uncultured friends.

Another part of the site I found useful was The Personalized Skin Care Program, a quiz that you take. Wait wait, it gets better. The results of this quiz tells you what kind of skin you have, and how you should take of it with what Shiseido products. Here are my results so you can get a better idea of what I mean:

This place even has a little site explaining the chemicals that go into the makeup, and how you benefit from them. Now that's the way to do business!
