OUR TAYLOR FAMILY

Edward Taylor was the earliest of my ancestors to come to Australia, arriving in Sydney on the "Indefatigable" in 1815 to serve a 7 years sentence.

His Death Certificate states he was born in London c. 1793 and died in Castle Hill, New South Wales in 1874.

In 1823 he married Eleanor Beveridge /Barridge (also a convict) and they had 5 children. Their eldest child, Susannah, married Michael Doyle.

Wife Eleanor had arrived in the "Northhampton" in 1815 also, and her native place was given as Northhampton. She died in 1881.
