Air

Disclaimer: They aren't mine, but I wouldn't mind one. They aren't gay, but we can still hope the best for them. This isn't true, but we want to think it is!

JC was walking on air. He had wanted to be with Lance for quite awhile. He couldn’t remember when it all started, just that one day he realized that Lance was absolutely the most beautiful creature that he had ever seen. That was a frightening thought. JC had never told the other guys that he was bi. He didn’t think that it would really matter as long as they kept it away from the fans. One night he had gotten weak and took a random guy off the club floor to his hotel room. He had missed seeing Lance the whole night and a girl just wouldn’t do. Chris had helped him seek in and out, so Chris had figured it out on his own, with a little help.

It still didn’t explain his current dilemma, Lance. Those gorgeous eyes called out to him and he had been unable to answer. JC wasn’t sure what was wrong with him, it was Lance. He always tried to put the band before his own needs, which had to be what the problem was. If something were to happen between he and Lance after they had gotten together it could tear the band apart. In a second case, the truth could get out to the fans. In a third case, it could be the perfect romance with a man he was sure he could love forever. It would be risky, was it really worth it?

JC walked along the pier under the stars. When he paused at the railing he could see Lance down the beach. He had already broken Lance’s heart tonight by telling him he couldn’t love him. In the distance, Lance gathered the dinner that he had made the two of them. JC watched the candles blink out of existence as Lance blew them out one by one. It was breaking his heart too.

He stared so hard, JC thought he was seeing things. In a flash he saw a happy smiling Lance, in the next he saw an old bitter man, himself. The breath left his lungs quickly as he sat hard on the planks of the pier. With only a moment of hesitation he stood up. Quickly his body cut through the air as he ran to try and catch the destiny that he was afraid he might have lost.
