We are now involved with an adversary who views this conflict as a "Jihad", or, "Holy War".
The system that we know as civilization is in their minds, evil incarnate.
In their eyes, our civilization is a corrupt, self-indulgent, frivolous and debauched people.

They have declared and have been carrying out a war of extermination.
It is not a series of "terrorist attacks", but it is a concerted,
well directed attack on the world's economic and social systems as we now know them.

Osama Bin Laden has studied for years the habits, movements, economic,
and PAST MILITARY conflicts of the United States.
He has studied the battles that the United States LOST,
much more closely than the ones they won.
Thereby learning all of the strategies that defeated us.

He already knew that our security, economy and military were at an
all-time low. It's in our and the world's press all the time.
HOW COULD HE NOT KNOW?
You must learn that their way of what we call "war" is an act of the
people involved that they believe is commanded and ...
that they WILL BE BLESSED by Allah, if they die
trying to "rid the world of the evil ones".
They are "martyrs", "holy warriors", "...bound for the lap of Allah".

These "warriors" take a blood oath to their leader.
They also go through their version of the "last rites",
when they dedicate themselves to "the cause".
They consider themselves "mujahadeen". "holy warriors".
They consider themselves as "already dead" at that moment.

This is not a war in the sense that you all are thinking of it.
That's why the Russians got run out of Afghanistan.
Armor, aircraft, the elite of their forces.
All, ALL defeated by men on horseback and on foot!
Who used antiquated weapons, such as knives and flintlock rifles.

Be advised, ladies and gentlemen, this is only the beginning of the
assault. They will attack on a concerted and dispersed, divergent front.
THAT will be their thrust into the heart of free civilizations.
The United States is the country the free world looks to in any time
of adversity. We are that heart.

Anthrax, e-Bola, west Nile virus, and how many other germ attacks,
are already being carried out here and in all of our allied countries?

This is not a war in the traditional sense that we know.
Study their way of it.
Learn that they consider themselves as "already dead" when they become mujahadeen.
Learn that they believe they will be in Allah's lap when they exterminate the evil ones.

That is, when they exterminate us and all other free nations.

Read this ten times.
Tell all of your friends, church members, and anyone else you care about.
You might just save their lives.

Remember,
the best way to avoid a trap . . .
is to know of it's existence.
Note: Certain words that should be capitalized but are not,
are that way by intent.

The only thing I can find to say, the only words that seem to fit,
must be addressed to the unknown author of this suffering.

You monster. You beast. You unspeakable bastard.
What lesson did you hope to teach us by your coward's attack
on our World Trade Center, our Pentagon, upon us?
What was it you hoped we would learn?
Whatever it was, please know that you failed.

Did you want us to respect your cause?
You just damned your cause.
Did you want to make us fear? You just steeled our resolve.
Did you want to tear us apart? You just brought us together.
Let me tell you about my people. We are a vast and quarrelsome family,
a family rent by racial, cultural, political and class division,
but a family nonetheless. We're frivolous, yes, capable of expending
tremendous emotional energy on pop cultural minutiae, a singer's revealing dress,
a ball team's misfortune, a cartoon mouse.

We're wealthy, too, spoiled by the ready availability of trinkets and
material goods, and maybe because of that, we walk through life with a
certain sense of blithe entitlement.
We are fundamentally decent, peace-loving and compassionate.
We struggle to know the right thing and to do it.

And we are, the overwhelming majority of us, people of faith,
believers in a just and loving God.

Some people -- you, perhaps --
think that any or all of this makes us weak.
You're mistaken.
We are not weak.
Indeed, we are strong in ways that cannot be measured by arsenals.

Yes, we're in pain now. We are in mourning and we are in shock.
We're still grappling with the unreality of the awful thing you did,
still working to make ourselves understand
that this isn't a special effect from some Hollywood blockbuster,
isn't the plot development from a Tom Clancy novel.

Both in terms of the awful scope of its ambition and the probable final death toll,
your attacks are likely to go down as the worst acts of terrorism in the history of the United States and,
indeed, the history of the world.
You've bloodied us as we have never been bloodied before.

But there's a gulf of difference between making us bloody and making us fall.
This is the lesson a former enemy was taught to its bitter sorrow the last time anyone hit us this hard,
the last time anyone brought us such abrupt and monumental pain.
That was the beginning of WW II for us.
When roused, we are righteous in our outrage, terrible in our force.
When provoked by this level of barbarism, we will bear any suffering,
pay any cost, go to any length, in the pursuit of justice.
I tell you this without fear of contradiction.
I know my people, as you, I think, do not.
What I know reassures me.
It also causes me to tremble with dread of the future.

In days to come, there will be recrimination and accusation,
fingers pointing to determine whose failure allowed this to happen
and what can be done to prevent it from happening again.
There will be heightened security, misguided talk of revoking basic freedoms.
We'll go forward from this moment sobered, chastened, sad.
But determined, too.
Unimaginably determined.

You see, there is steel beneath this velvet.
That aspect of our character is seldom understood by people who don't know us well.
On this black day, America's bickering was put on hold.

As Americans we will weep,
as Americans we will mourn,
and as Americans,
we will rise in defense of all that we cherish.

Still, I keep wondering what it was you hoped to teach us.
It occurs to me that maybe you just wanted us to know the depths of your hatred.

If that's the case, consider the message received.
And take this message in exchange :

You don't know my people.
You don't know what we're about.
You don’t know what you started..
But you're about to learn ........

Attacks on Americans by Middle Eastern Terrorists

1970: Murder of American University of Beirut President, Malcolm Kerr, in Beirut, Lebanon.
September 1970: TWA #741 and Pan Am #93 hijacked by the PFLP and flown to Amman, Jordan.
March 1973: U.S. Ambassador Cleo Noel & DCM George Moore murdered in Khartoum, Sudan.
June 1976: U.S. Ambassador, Francis Meloy and two other Americans killed in Lebanon.
19791980: U.S. Embassy in Iran seized, embassy officials held hostage for 14 months.
April 1983: U.S. Embassy in Beirut attacked by Hezbollah suicide bomber; 49 killed, 120 wounded.
October 1983: Marine barracks in Beirut carbombed; 241 U.S. Marines killed, hundreds injured.
June 1984: TWA #847 to Athens hijacked to Beirut; U.S. Navy diver, Robert Stethem murdered.
1980's: Several Americans in Beirut kidnaped and held hostage.
September 1984: William Buckley, CIA station chief in Beirut, kidnaped, tortured and murdered.
September 1984: U.S. embassy annex in East Beirut bombed; 2 Americans killed.
October 1985: Achille Lauro hijacked; Leon Klinghoffer murdered.
September 1986: Pan Am #73 hijacked to Karachi, Pakistan; 17 people killed, 150 wounded.
February 1988: William Higgins kidnaped in Lebanon and murdered.
December 1988: Pan Am #103 bombed over Lockerbie, Scotland; 270 people killed.
February 1993: World Trade Center in New York bombed; six killed, hundreds injured.
March 1995: American employees of the U.S. consulate in Karachi,
Pakistan killed in response to arrest of World Trade Center bombing suspect.
November 1995: U.S. troops attacked in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; five Americans killed.
June 1996: U.S. Marine barracks in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia bombed; 19 Americans killed.

In addition to these specific attacks,
a number of American citizens have been killed
in terrorist attacks in Israel, the West Bank & Gaza.
At the same time, the United States has also thwarted
many planned attacks including a conspiracy by
Egyptian Sheikh Rahman to blow up New York landmarks,
a plot by Ramzi Yousef to blow up airliners over Pacific,
and a number of other attempts to blow up U.S. airliners.

I am the flag of the United States of America.
My name is "Old Glory".
I fly atop the world's tallest buildings.
I stand watch in America's halls of justice.
I fly majestically over institutions of learning.
I stand guard with power in the world.
Look up and see me.

I stand for peace, honor, truth and justice.

This is NO accident! We are at WAR!
The United States has been under seige from
a germ warfare attack for at least four years!
We got hit with West Nile virus in 1999 and now ... we have more danger.
The attacks on the Trade Towers, on the Pentagon, the anthrax attacks,
who knows what else and how much more is in store for us .....
Attacks were launched against government officials recently
by someone using Ricin, a deadly poison, as their weapon.

2,072 cases of West Nile infection have been reported,
and 98 people have died,
according to the Center for Disease Control.

As of Friday, September 27, 2002:

2,206 cases of West Nile infection have been reported,
and 108 people have died,
according to the Center for Disease Control.

As of Saturday, October 19, 2002:

2,768 cases of West Nile infection have been reported,
in 34 states and Washington, D.C.
and 146 people have died,
according to the Center for Disease Control.

As of Tuesday, October 22, 2002:

3,242 cases of West Nile infection have been reported,
in 34 states and Washington, D.C.
and 176 people have died,
according to the Center for Disease Control.

936 new victims of infection and 76 killed in 26 days!

As of Tuesday, December 20, 2002:

3,852 cases of West Nile infection have been reported,
in 40 states and Washington, D.C.
and 241 people have died,
according to the Center for Disease Control.

1,646 new victims of infection and 133 killed in 61 days!

Ohio has been ranked third in the nation
in number of confirmed cases .....
431 fellow Ohioans infected — 31 dead.

Add 107 more sick and 8 more deaths - as of January 28, 2004

Symptoms

Symptoms vary depending on the severity of the infection.

Mild infections

Flu-like symptoms
Fever
Headaches and body aches
Skin rash
Swollen lymph glands

Severe infections Signs:

Higher fever

Disorientation
Coma
Paralysis
Convulsions and muscle weakness
