Timothy 2)

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; in order that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and gravity.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior;
Who's will it is that all men ]should be saved, and come to the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one Mediator of God (one of His offices) and men, the Man Christ Jesus;
Who gave Himself a ransom for all (that will believe on Him), the testimony in its own seasons.
For which I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. (Paul taught on 3 levels.)
I will therefore that the men (i.e. husbands) pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and reasoning (or disputing). (Except if you deserve it. See Heb. 8:1.)

Likewise also, that women (the whole context shows that wives are on the apostle's mind. See vv. 12-15) adorn themselves in becoming (or orderly) apparel, with shame-fastness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
But (which becomes women professing godliness) with good works.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. (See 1 Cor. 14:34. 2 Cor. 9:13.)
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being thoroughly deceived (Gr. expatao = wholly seduced) came to be in the transgression.
But she shall be saved through the childbearing, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with sobriety.
