September 11, 2001 was a day of terror and tragedy that will long be remembered by Americans and our friends around the world. The September 11th Memorial Peace Pole will be presented New York City to honor this day in the spirit of peace. In addition, prayers from peace-loving people all over the world will accompany this Peace Pole – a call to shift the energy from fear to love, from war to peace. Let us show that the best memorial to those who perished on September 11th would be a commitment to a world of peace.

Until a suitable occasion is arranged, prayers for peace are still being collected. You are welcome to add your prayer, and to visit the many inspiring prayers from across the nation and around the world.

All those who attended the 12th annual World Peace Festival in Amenia, New York in 2002 had the opportunity to place their prayers inside the September 11th Memorial Peace Pole, which received a special blessing from everyone present. Additional prayers poured in from around the world
