a BOOTABLE LINUX CDROM (KNOPPIX) HOW-TO.

DESCRIPTION
I will explain how to run MUGEN for Linux without having to install Linux, by
putting the
Mugen executable in a FAT32 filesystem and using a Bootable Linux CD-ROM (Knoppix)
WHAT YOU NEED
1. Bootable Linux CD called KNOPPIX (
http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html)
http://download.linuxtag.org/knoppix/KNOPPIX_V2.2-BETA-12-05-2002-EN.iso
You may need a CDRW drive to burn the ISO image on a CD-ROM, also.
2. Mugen last release at http://mugen.elecbyte.com
bzip2-102-x86-win32.exe (use http://www.google.com)
UltimateZIP (download at http://www.ultimatezip.com)
3. A wind*ws FAT32 filesystem
4. A brain (in fact, you need one :-)
WHAT TO MAKE
1. Run wind*ws. Decompress last mugen release by using first BZIP2 from the DOS
command-line
c:\bzip2 -d mugen.tar.bz2 mugen.tar
Now use UltimateZip to decompress the resulting mugen.tar file
2. Reboot your computer with the KNOPPIX CD inside your CDROM. Ensure your BIOS
loads in
the first the CDROM unit before the hard disk.
3. You will get a text screen. Just press enter or press F3 if you want to see
the Options (usefull if
you want to set your Language or adjust the screen resolution).
4. If all runs, you will see the KDE environment desktop.
5. Press RIGHT button on the Hard Disk icon, select MOUNT (this will MOUNT the
windows filesystem
so it will be accesible from Linux to read it)
6. Now press left button on the Hard Disk icon, so Konqueror filebrowser will
be opened. Find your Mugen
folder. Now from the Window menu, select Show Terminal Emulator. A little window
with a embedded command line will be open.
7. Inside the command line, just type 'mugen' and, press enter. Play :)
