....as in, words that seem fake. when I was in college, in a writing class, I used the word "kame", & some guy said, "that's not a real word! you're making it up." (no dictionary tonight....) it's a hill created by a glacier (at least, that's how I remember it, but who knows how memory has fuzzed...) another glacier-related word is "moraine"--isn't it also a hill? if so, not sure how they're different....I just remember going on a field trip in grade school to a park (not sure if it was a county park or a state park...) it wasn't Moraine Hills; it was Glacier (not the one in Montana (is it in Montana? well, in that area, anyway.....)) lotsa glacier-created landscapes around here.

I think that's all the glacier-related words I can think of right now (are you tired of reading the word "glacier"?) how about "flivver"? "oleo"? "spanner"? what was the point (or points) again?
