Starting A Empire:

(The PyroTriMac vs. the Flowerhorn)

Coming Soon:

The Central American Cichlid known as the(Pyrotrimac)- also referred as PyroMac. The scientific name is (Cichlasoma Trimaculatum). The pyromac was bred in the Smith hatchery in PG County, Maryland in the year 2004.
The L.E.S Strain is a true Trimac and is a result of breeding two different types of Trimac into one. The first is a TRUE GREEN Trimac, the second is the True Gold Trimac which equals 100% pure Trimac cichlid breeds. There are two different types of Trimac species to make one super Trimac. The Super Trimac is not a new breed but is a old breed long forgotten in the cichlid world until now.

I, Lawrence, better known as skip, will bring them back. The true (real) Trimac is from the Pacific slope of Mexico to El Salvador, not from Asia where the hybrid flowerhorn come from which is nothing more than a cross-breed (Mutt), hybrid junk with their fancy names from the Far East where most of these fish are bred in an effort to increase sales. The fish are not naturally bred, they are just Mutations like the Blood Parrott fish, Rose Queen and Pearlhorn which are bred in fish lab on farms in Malaysia by crossing several different species of fish. You should not cross-breed a fish that inhabits a lake in one part of the world with a fish in another part of the world because although they are cichlids genetically, they're not the same species which will result in mutated offsprings such as the Blood Parrot fish and the Pearlhorn cichlid. So why try to improve on nature's beautiful fish.

You can always breed two of the same species just like the common Oscar and the Red Oscar, thus you have the Tiger Oscar - it is still a Oscar and when you breed the same species you will not confuse hobbyists - they want to know what they're getting. Now, you're willing to pay $100.00 to $700.00 dollars for a cross-breed hybrid (Mutt). So what are you willing to pay for a true 100% pure bred Trimac, with natural Red Green Golden Blue colors made in the USA? The cross-breeding of ciclids MUST stop - they are Frankenstein lab-made fish. When you cross breed two different species of fish and you go to purchase a particular breed of fish such as a Trimac, and you breed it with another so-called Trimac and end up with offsprings looking like Red Devils or something else, then you confuse the Hobbyists or the Breeder because cross-breeding will only end up in disaster because no one wants to purchase or buy something and end up with something else far from what they expected to buy. The genetics are not compatible so therefore you shorten the lifespan of the species and in my opinion, it is just not right.

The two combined species of Trimac makes the one Pyromac. I call the two combined species Pyromac because the word Pyro means "fire or heat" which will result in a redish gold - blue color that are on their fins and body. The word Tri- means "three spot's or occurring in intervals of three." The word Mac means "massive, enlarged and green" (Hulk-like). Thus, you have the PyroMac cichlid. My cichlids are being raised naturally in a controlled environment. Email me for any comments, questions or suggestions.

The Hybridization of Cichlids

The most frequently asked questions and answers.

What is the proper scientific name for a hybrid? Hybrids do not get a new scientific name in my book. Let's say if you crossed a Dovii cichlid with a Convict -- the most correct name to use would be Doviixconvict - the two names joined by an x gives you the scientific name.); Why are hybrids so bad? We have over 3500 + species of cichlids in the world, we don't need to go creating yet another kind just because we can. Furthermore, the ability to create new colorful designer species has a way of cheapening the beauty and wonders of the true cichlid species.); So the bottom line is if you were thinking about getting a flowerhorn cichlid, but haven't yet, I strongly urge you to reconsider and buy a real cichlid instead, such as the Pyrotrimac or Dovii or Synspillum or Bocourti cichlids. They have the most fascinating colors and my buddy Chuck would agree. How can I avoid getting Hybrids? Probably the best way to avoid getting hybrids in the first place is to purchase your fish from a reputable dealer and avoid buying fish with hybrid-like names or say mixed cichlids that usually means the dealer doesn't know what the fish actually are.

Could this be a Hybrid Disaster? Yep!

Good Gracious!
