Tour De Funk was created in 2000 by Joe, Mike and Alec. It started as the backing band for the Southtown Singers but soon took to Alec's basement. After kicking out jams for hours on end, it was decided to turn the band into something. Marie joined the band later, in the winter of 2004, to complete the lineup. Tour De Funk plays mostly standards, but has and endless supply of original jams. Unfortunately college has ended the fun for a while, but next summer it's back to the usual practice, chinese food, mXc etc.
Tour De Funk currently has one CD release called "A Wok To Remember." It was recorded in one night. There are probably only five or six of CD's in circulation, but thats ok. (If you want a copy, contact Marie [snyd0234@umn.edu], and she will be happy to burn and ship one to you.)
Unfortunately Angelfire is a terrible place to make websites and it is not allowing any images to be viewed on our site...
But, Marie is working on it because she is supercool and knows what to do, unlike her cohort.
(more to come when we have more time to procrastinate)
