Urban Folk
Tom Luer is currently a freelance saxophonist in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. In addition, he is adjunct faculty at North Lakes College in Irving, TX, where he directs the Night Jazz Ensemble and teaches Applied Saxophone and Jazz Improvisation. Tom is a University of North Texas One O'Clock Lab Band Alumni, and can be heard on the album "Lab 2003". As a clinician, Tom has worked with Middle School, High School, and College musicians throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Tom has also adjudicated numerous jazz festivals, and was an Artist in Residence at the 2001 Wichita Jazz Festival in Wichita, Kansas.
