Aden Mcleod ~ Sculptor

History

Born in Texas in 1950 one of five children of Scottish and Cherokee Indian descent, Aden grew up on a farm and moved to the city of Austin when he was twelve years old. He has traveled and worked for a living since he was sixteen when he left the States on a ship heading to Africa and ended up in India. Aden has helped people in countries all over the world since then to become better people mentally and spiritually, as well as economically.

He has worked in several countries restoring old sculptures, monuments and buildings to their former perfection. He has learned many practical skills on his journey through life, working on all types of stone including marble, sandstone, limestone and granite and combined these skills with his true vocation of sculpting. He worked for a time in a foundry learning bronze foundry work and mould making and set up a studio at that time sculpting in clay. He enjoys the uncommon act of sculpting people in public, encouraging members of the public to join in his creations. He has lately been involved in many larger sculpting projects where his professional side has come to the fore to deliver the finished product.
