The Ornsby Racing Team are looking for sponsors interested in exposing their business through the fast paced sport of "Superbike Racing" and those wanting to invest in an exceptional Race Team, and future champion of this sport. In the process we will endeavour to promote your business in a professional manner, include you as a part of the team and share with you the triumphs of our success. We can provide a variety of opportunities to give your business positive exposure and effective advertising (more information is provided later in this proposal).
This is your opportunity to align yourself with an up and coming New Zealand Superbike rider. You may also wish to include visits to race meetings as a team-building outing or fun day for you, your customers, your family or your staff.
Daniel Ornsby has been racing motorcycles since the age of seventeen and has represented New Zealand a number of times throughout this country, and Australia, in the sport of "Speedway Riding". Over the past three years he has moved his interests towards "Road Racing" and feels that his speedway skills have acted as the perfect foundation for this different and exciting style of racing.
During the 2003 -2004 racing season we competed with a new 2003 Yamaha YZF R1 - lOOOcc superbike supplied by Eric Wood Motorcycles of Christchurch. This allowed us to make a huge impact in in the National Formula 1 Production Superbike Competition, finishing a very credible 10th place and taking 2nd place at the Ports of Nelson Street Race. The six round National Championship was contested at all of the high profile race-tracks from Auckland to Invercargill. The superbike class is now also included in some of the high profile car racing meetings around the country. This has attracted a field of international class competitors which in turn is boosting the popularity and professionalism of the sport in New Zealand. The class has received enormous support from the public with excellent television coverage. The annual John Britten Memorial Motorcycle Race Meeting being a huge success and a highlight of the season.
This season is already shaping up as the biggest and most successful yet. We have just purchased another Yamaha YZF R1 - lOOOcc superbike. This bike is a "completely new from the ground up" model with a huge increase in horsepower and improved handling. It will enable us to seriously take on the competition and should see us finishing well up the field. The bike is again supplied and sponsored by Eric Wood Motorcycles, with some major assistance from Yamaha New Zealand. These firms along with Fitness Canterbury and our other existing sponsors have shown their faith in our team and its goals for yet another season.
With the added help of your sponsorship too, we can give the sport of Production Superbike Racing a bigger and brighter future and promote your business in a sport with growing popularity and exposure. If you choose to invest in our team, we guarantee that your business will be represented to the highest standard both on and off the track. What's in it for you?
By asking for financial backing, we by no means expect a cash or other gift without return. As well as keeping you fully informed on our results. We will endeavour to promote and expose your business in as many different areas and ways as possible. However it must be said that the amount invested by you will have a bearing on the time and effort we are able to give your business.
In Christchurch & Nationwide
Our Race Team Vehicle is a late model Toyota Hiace Hi-roof LWB Jumbo Van. It is a very sharp & well presented vehicle. Vehicle based advertising & promotion is a very effective and well proven means of business exposure. There is ample room for sign-writing to be applied to it on behalf of our sponsors. With Christchurch being a relatively small city there is enormous scope for advertising your business on this vehicle. It is used 7 days a week all over Canterbury & Ashburton. We will be competing in approximately 15 race meetings this race season. These will take place on high profile race & street circuits from Auckland to Invercargill. Your business will be exposed throughout New Zealand as we travel regularly around the country.
At the Track
The race van, bike, racing leathers, helmet, team uniforms, information board and team tent offer the most exposure at the track, however there are many different areas where advertising can be displayed.
- Promotional clothing, e.g. : Jackets, T-shirts and caps can be worn by Dan, pit crew and
supporters.
- An area at our park in the pits, (which is visible to anyone passing or entering the pits).
- Sponsors can also be listed in race programmes.
- The race commentator has a list of competitors sponsors and these get regularly announced
...throughout meetings.
At Your Business or Event
Our Team members are available for promotional and advertising functions. The Superbike and Race Van are also available for display at your premises or event when not racing. This can provide you with the opportunity to be seen to be supporting and associating with such a high profile and positive sport. With production superbike racing increasing in popularity there has been an increase in television and media coverage, thus giving a broad area of sponsorship exposure. There are also a number of magazines that cover superbike racing
Listed are just some of our ideas on exposure. We would also like to meet with you and discuss ways in which you can get return from your investment.
