Our Club's First Major Community Service Project A few hundred kilometers from our city there is a village in Baluchistan called WUDH, where women and children walk 20 to 30 kilometers from their village every day to procure water – water that is not even safe for drinking. Hundreds of them die every year due to water borne diseases.
Our Rotary club of Karachi Centennial has taken up the task of ensuring that they get 'safe drinking water' in their own village. For this our club will be putting up windmills to pump water at this village – and later with your help we will go to other areas people are deprived of their basic requirement of 'safe drinking water'.
