Hi everyone thanks for taking the time to browse through my little website, and even more thanks to all those who send me wonderful emails and leave great messages in my guestbook - it is all greatly appreciated. For those who don't know me my name is Jarrod Boutcher and I live on th Gold Coast in Sunny Australia. I have been making puppets for as long as I can remember, but I have been selling them on and off for over the past 12 years. I started making puppets after watching the Muppet show when I was younger, Instead of just watching the show like everyone else around me I was always thinking " how did they do that?" or " Where are the seams?" so I started making them and working it all out through trial and error - practise makes perfect!!. That is one thing I cannot stress enough to people out there just starting to create their own puppets - don't look for the quick and easy way to make something - research and practise, don't expect all the answers to fall into your lap half the fun is trying to work something out for yourself. I have been selling my puppets to people all over the world for vent acts, hospital visits, theme parks, travelling puppet shows but my favourite is when somebody just buys a puppet to play with. I'm always amazed that as soon as an audience of children (adults too!!) see puppets come alive they seem to be taken to another world of fantasy.
